Beverage Giant Nestle: the packaging materials will be 100% recyclable by 2025
Nestle has announced that it plans to make all packaging materials 100% recyclable or reusable by 2025.
The company's purpose is that all packaging, including plastic, will not be buried or discarded.
Nestle said it was committed to playing a "positive role" in collecting, sorting and recycling programs in the countries it operates in.
In addition, the company will work with value-chain partners and industry associations to develop recyclable packaging and reduce the use of plastics.
As a part of the plan, nestle will label plastic packaging with recycling information to help consumers deal with it in the right way.
